Disgruntled Puffins | 14×11 ORIGINAL

The Atlantic puffin is actually the provincial bird of Newfoundland and Labrador.  These little birds  spend the majority of their time at sea and only come ashore in the spring to breed! You can sometimes spot puffins all over the provinces shores but they are plentiful in the Elliston area and at the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve  which is the largest colony in North America. They are so unique in appearance and so colourful I just had to paint them.
