Every Newfoundland town has a local swimming hole or pond which becomes the centre of activity during warm summer days. I have lots of memories of great times with friends here at The Rattles which is the local swimming hole in my hometown of Fleur De Lys Newfoundland and Labrador! When I was little my father took me here with an old bamboo rod to teach me how to catch a trout and put on yucky worms lol. So of course I took my children here to do the same! My brother and I took my grandson to do the same awhile back and he hooked his very first trout. Exciting! This one is a 15×30 acrylic on a gallery wrapped canvas.
