My little trip down memory lane got me thinking about music and how it was such a big part of my life growing up. I have so many memories of gatherings of family and friends. There would be round after round of songs, recitations and some wonderful and often far fetched stories. Just about everyone I know could tell a tall tale, sing a great ballad or dance a good jig and in my mind not many were better than my grandmother. She sure could make the most beautiful music with her accordion. I wish I could listen to her now!. So here is my grandmother with her 4-stop button Hohner accordion as I last saw her play in the 80s.. I didn’t have an actual photo of her playing her accordion so I made my own. I painted her as I remembered her, in her favourtie chair in her space. All that is missing is her pipe lol. Original12 x 12 acrylic
